What We Do

At Fearless Therapies we offer two distinct but complementary services: Nature-Based Counselling and Therapeutic Mentoring. These services are designed to meet clients at different points of their journey, but there are some common themes in our approach to both. You can access one service or both, depending on your needs, goals and NDIS plan (if applicable).

Nature-Based Counselling

Fearless Therapies offers Nature-Based Counselling to people of all ages. Taking a person-centred, trauma-informed approach, we support participants in navigating emotional, psychological and relational challenges. We can also assist with therapeutic goal setting and progress monitoring, tailoring sessions to individual needs.

Who is it for?

Nature-Based Counselling could benefit you if you:

  • Are experiencing (or have experienced) trauma, anxiety, grief or emotional dysregulation.

  • Want to process difficult life experiences in a safe, therapeutic environment with structured emotional and psychological support.

  • Are an NDIS participant with psychosocial disability or developmental trauma.

How does it work?

Nature-Based Counselling sessions are delivered by ACA-registered Counsellors, and they take whatever format works best for participants. We often get outdoors or to take part in an activity – whether it’s hiking, mountain biking, fishing, lawn games, swimming, or skateboarding. Working in natural settings can also support regulation, connection and safety.

We also understand that not all participants are ready for this type of session straight away, so we also offer counselling via online sessions, gaming sessions or with the home environment.

Key outcomes:

  • Increased emotional regulation.

  • Improved self-awareness and resilience.

  • Support in trauma recovery and personal growth.

Therapeutic Mentoring

Therapeutic Mentoring is a relational, goal-directed support service available to people of all ages. We take an approach that’s client-led and nature-based, and focus on offering practical support so participants can work towards their goals in a real life setting.

Who is it for?

Therapeutic Mentoring could benefit you if you:

  • Are working on social, emotional or life skill goals.

  • Need support in building confidence and routine, and would benefit from a consistent, sage and empowering adult presence.

  • Either aren’t yet ready for counselling, or are transitional from it.

How does it work?

Like our counselling sessions, mentoring often takes place outdoors in nature – but it can also be in homes, or in community settings, depending on the needs and capacity of each individual. Sessions are delivered by Therapeutic Support Mentors.

We can offer support with life skills (such as budgeting, travel, cooking, personal organisation), or life transitions (such as moving out of home, or going from school to employment). Mentoring can also take the form of peer-style support, confidence-building activities or social engagement. Consistent goal tracking and progress reporting is part of the process, in alignment with NDIS goals (if applicable.

Key outcomes:

  • Greater independence and functional capacity.

  • Greater community engagement.

  • Improved emotional safety and relational trust.

Our mentoring isn’t just about activity – it’s about trust, connection, and building life skills in ways that feel safe, practical and relational. A key focus is actively working with clients to set, re-set and achieve their goals.

Who we work with

Fearless Therapies supports people of all ages. We work with private clients, NDIS participants, and children and young people in Out-of-Home Care (OOHC), including those supported by the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).

We believe that finding balance in an unbalanced world is the key to living a happy life and flourishing to our full potential.
